Nadia and Sarah

Dear Friends,

The fight against ovarian cancer is a long and hard battle. George Hess, General Manager of Red Stick Recordings, has been personally affected by the disease, losing one of his friends.

Says George Hess: “Hopefully, at one time, you meet a person who,
no matter what the task nor how they are feeling, will meet all challenges head on, without complaint. That was Nadia. Beautiful, charismatic, and full of life.

"This past February, Nadia was beginning to experience fatigue from the chemotherapy treatment she was receiving for ovarian cancer, a near six year battle. Her doctors told her she could not endure any more treatment and she was considering an alternative approach. Knowing that such treatment would come at great expense, her friends decided to put together a fund raiser for her and her fight against ovarian cancer (www.nadsquad.com). As the fund raiser drew closer, Nadia became weaker.

"On March 28, 2010, her body succumbed to the cancer, just one week shy of the event. During this same time, producer Todd Terry and artist/writer Sarah Mattea had been hard at work writing a song to be performed at the event. On March 30, 2010 at Basshit Studio's in NYC, Sarah, Todd and well known vocalists Duane Harden, Tommie Nibbs and Moises Modesto made the magic happen, and finished the single “I Am Here To Stay (Nadia’s Song)”. All of the parties involved have donated much of their time and talents to the completion of this project. Thank you all so very much.

In addition to the team above, National Promotion and Marketing company AllAccess.com, will be donating their time to promote the single.

The single, along with a viral awareness video, will be released July 20, 2010 on Red Stick Recordings. Some of the proceeds from this project will be donated to The Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (www.ocrf.org) on Nadia's behalf. The mission of the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund is to fund research to find a method of early detection and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer.

In support of their mission, they help patients and their loved ones understand the disease and it's treatment, and provide outreach programs to raise public awareness.

We are honored to be working with everyone who so generously has donated their time and resources to help spread the word for early detection so that more tragedies can be prevented.

If you have any questions about this project please call (856) 448-4377.

Thank You,

Red Stick Recordings
